Canaries to travel to Vicarage Road in Third Round of Capital One Cup

NORWICH City will play Watford at Vicarage Road in the Capital One Cup Third Round after the draw was made on Wednesday evening.

The Canaries will face The Hornets after coming through 6-3 against Bury in the Second Round on Tuesday.

The tie will take place on the week commencing September 23, with the exact date and kick-off time to be confirmed in due course, along with ticket news.

City boss Chris Hughton said: "It's an exciting tie and one we'll really look forward to, but it's up to us to prepare in the right way to get the right result.

"Of course you always look for a home draw but we'll look forward to going to Vicarage Road for a good, competitive cup game.

"If it's as exciting as our last game (against Bury) then it's another one the fans will enjoy I'm sure."

City reached the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup last year, eventually losing out to Aston Villa. The Canaries have of course triumphed twice in the competition, in 1962 and 1985.
