Unfortunate City lose despite Morris brace

CARLTON Morris scored twice for Norwich City's Under-18s against Manchester United - but it still wasn't enough for to earn the Canaries anything from their trip as they went down 3-2.

James Wilson poked United into a first-half lead, only for Morris to pop up and equalise almost immediately, converting Cameron King's cross after some poor defending from the hosts.

Joshua Harrop re-established the Red Devils' advantage when he pounced on a rebound from a Wilson shot, before Wilson himself rounded Liam Priestley and scored to stretch their lead to two.

Norwich continued to impress, though, but despite Morris pulling one back on 88 minutes, they couldn't quite do enough and slipped to defeat.

NORWICH CITY: Priestley; Efete, Fox (Simpson), Burgess, Grant; Norman (c), Randall, King, Heath (Higgs); Eaton-Collins; Morris. Subs not used: Oxborough (GK), Cole, Boateng.
