Josh Murphy bags two as Under-21s beat Chelmsford

NORWICH City's Under-21s romped to a 5-1 over Chelmsford City in their final warm-up game for the new season at the Melbourne Stadium.

Josh Murphy opened the scoring with a penalty on the half-hour after winning the spot-kick himself, before Harvey Hodd doubled the young Canaries' lead in spectacular fashion eight minutes later.

Sam Long pulled one back with a penalty of his own two minutes after the break for the hosts, but Carlton Morris and then Josh Murphy again made sure of the victory.

Substitute Harry Barker then made an instant impact when he scored the fifth to round proceedings off in style late on.
