FANS MAKE ANOTHER GREAT SAVE FOR CITY

9 February 2013

N&P present cheque to Club for 15th consecutive year

FOR THE 15th consecutive year, supporters of Norwich City Football Club have contributed another six-figure sum for the Canaries, thanks to saving money with Club partner Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P).

The latest donation of £281,351.80 - which the Club will receive at the Fulham home match on Saturday, February 9 - is the latest annual bonus payment from N&P, generated by fans saving in a Canary Account or the new Canary Bond launched in November 2012.

This latest six-figure sum brings the total amount Norwich City Football Club has netted from long standing Club partner N&P to £3.88 million since 1997 - all thanks to fans saving their money with Norwich City products offered by the Society.

Norwich City’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Will Hoy, said: “The Club would like to thank thousands of Norwich City supporters yet again in helping the Club receive another considerable cheque from our Club partner, Norwich & Peterborough Building Society. City fans who currently have a Canary Account or Canary Bond, we thank you all on achieving this latest figure.

“Thank you also to all the staff at N&P for their support and we look forward to many more City fans opening or investing in N&P products which will help benefit their Club throughout 2013.”

N&P’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Mike Sketch, said: “We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Norwich City and are delighted that Canaries supporters have helped us to make another sizeable donation this year.”

To celebrate another fantastic contribution there will be a spring prize draw for all new and existing Canary Account holders, plus a special junior event for its Junior Canary Account holders.

There are three fantastic prizes up for grabs - any City supporter who opens a Canary Savings Account at one of N&P’s branches with £100 or more, or who adds £100 to their existing account and doesn’t withdraw it before Tuesday, April 30*, will be entered into a draw to win either:

• a 2013-14 Norwich City season ticket;
• £500 paid into their Canary Account; or
• a Norwich City shirt signed by their favourite player.

This prize draw is in addition to regular monthly prize draws which are open to all Canary Account holders, when three lucky savers win either £100 paid into their account, a signed Norwich City football or a matchday experience at Carrow Road.

Canary Bond or Canary Account holders also can claim 5 per cent discount off a 2013-14 season ticket in the N&P Stand when renewing before February 23, 2013.

There will also be an exclusive N&P Canary Account junior event this season.

All Junior Canary Account holders are eligible to attend an exclusive account holders’ event at Carrow Road on Tuesday, April 9, 2013**, to meet first team players, collect autographs and have their photo taken with the Norwich City players attending. All they need in order to access the event is call Norwich City Football Club on 01603 218219 before April 5.

The Canary Account is open to all Norwich City supporters throughout the UK to earn interest on their savings whilst supporting their Club at the same time. It takes only £100 for an over-16 year old to open an account and up to £1million can be saved. The Junior Canary Account is also available for all supporters aged under 16, who only need £10 to open an account in branch or £1 online.

Supporters can sign up for a Canary Account by visiting their nearest Norwich and Peterborough Building Society branch or log on to www.nandp.co.uk/canaries for more information and to sign up for an online savings account.
