Canaries drawn at home to Luton Town

NORWICH CITY have been drawn to face non-league Luton Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup with Budweiser at Carrow Road.

The fixture will take place over the weekend of 26/27 January 2013, and ticket details will be confirmed in due course on

Chris Hughton's side reached the fourth round courtesy of a resounding 3-0 win over Peterborough United at London Road on Saturday. Over 5,000 travelling Canary fans saw Elliott Bennett, Simeon Jackson, and Robert Snodgrass net to ensure progress.

Meanwhile Luton, semi-finalists in 1994, sprung one of the biggest upsets of the third round by knocking out Championship side Wolves 1-0 courtesy of an Alex Lawless strike.

Norwich City Manager Chris Hughton told "First of all it's a home draw for our fans, which is the most pleasing thing.

"They showed just what a fantastic atmosphere they can create when over 5,000 went to Peterborough on Saturday, and I hope even more of them make their way through the turnstiles at Carrow Road for the game against Luton.

"I know the Luton Town manager, Paul Buckle, quite well. I played with him for about a year at Brentford towards the end of my playing career.

"It will be a good cup tie and a great atmosphere, but it won't be easy against Luton - we've seen just what they can do with the way they knocked out Wolves at the weekend, and although they are a team that has dropped out of the league, they have a good history in the FA Cup.

"It will be our responsibility to put on a good performance for our supporters and make sure we progress to the next round of this competition.

"Again though the most important thing is that we're at home with another chance to play in front of our fans, and it will be great to see as many there as possible."
