Academy Manager pleased with another good display

A YOUNG Norwich City Xl followed up their 3-1 win at Fakenham last week with another success by the same margin away to St Neots.

Ben Wyatt opened the scoring for the Canaries but they were pegged back when a St Neots defender bagged an equaliser to ensure the sides went in level at the break.

But striker Jamar Loza ensured the City side, managed by Ricky Martin, emerged victorious with two goals in the second half.

Afterwards Martin told "It was good to visit St Neots, who of course have partnered with our Academy and are one of our Centre of Excellence venues. The facilities and the welcome there were excellent and they provided solid and competitive opposition.

"It was pleasing to see a positive team performance from a side made up mainly of Under-21 players and a couple of young trialists. There were good displays too from Jamar Loza, Harry Toffolo, Jacob Murphy and Ewan McNeil, all of whom were returning to action after spending a week with the senior squad training in Austria."

The Norwich City Xl will travel to play Tooting & Mitcham in their next game on Wednesday (kick-off 7.30pm).

Norwich City Xl: Matthews, McNeil, Toffolo (Norman 70), Hodd (Hall-Johnson 64), Vidal (Barker 64), Ajayi, Murphy (Randall 70), McGeehan, Morris, Loza, Wyatt.
