City new boy completes moveCANARY new boy Martin Olsson says he is relishing the prospect of a return to Barclays Premier League action after making the switch to Carrow Road from Championship side Blackburn Rovers this week.
Olsson's transfer paperwork has now been completed and he is officially a Norwich City player.
CanariesPlayer caught up exclusively with the 25-year-old Swedish international full-back when he joined his new City colleagues at Colney this week – and he said after playing in the top flight with Rovers before their relegation in 2012, he is looking forward to taking on the best in the game again.
He commented: “I’m very happy, it feels good to play in the Premier League again, to be with a Premier League club, so yes I’m excited.
“My dream has always been to be in the Premier League but we (Rovers) went down into the Championship, which was a good lesson for me. I learned a lot of things.
“But I’m at a new club right now, so I’m looking forward to meeting the players and enjoying my time here.”
Olsson said despite reported interest from a number of clubs, City boss Chris Hughton had been an important factor in persuading him to come to Norfolk:
“I had a few clubs but I think Chris gave me a good idea of how they wanted to play and the ambition of this Club.”
