City open pre-season tour at Sacramento

CITY kick off their pre-season at Raley Field tonight (7.50pm local time, 3.50am BST) against Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa as part of the Sac Soccer Day in Sacramento.

Canaries boss Chris Hughton names a team which includes new summer signing Nathan Redmond, as well as a mixture of his established first team.

It will be Redmond’s first appearance in a City shirt, whilst other new recruits Ricky van Wolfswinkel , Martin Olsson and Leroy Fer - having only just  joined the Canaries for pre-season training this week - miss out on today’s squad alongside Irish international Wes Hoolahan.

Raley Field is a baseball venue and hosts two games today – a Sac City All Stars facing an MLS reserve team before the Canaries take on Dorados.

Norwich City: Ruddy; Gafaiti, R. Bennett, Ayala, Surman; E. Bennett, Tettey, Fox, Redmond; Butterfield; Becchio. Subs: Bunn (GK), Nash (GK),Martin, Whittaker, Garrido, Snodgrass, Pilkington, Josh Murphy.

*Please note that the City squad numbers used for today’s match will be used for the pre-season tour and are NOT the official squad numbers for the 2013-14 season. Official squad numbers for the coming Barclays Premier League season will be released ahead of the first league game against Everton on August 17.
