Under-21s through to Senior Cup Final
NORWICH CITY booked their place in the final of the Norfolk Senior Cup for the first time since 1988 with a comfortable 4-0 win over Cromer Town at Cabbell Park this evening.
Scott Marshall’s under-21 side were quick out of the blocks and almost took the lead after just five minutes when Reece Hall-Johnson broke the offside trap and found himself one-on-one with Cromer ‘keeper Andy Jackson who did well to repel the forward’s effort.
A minute later and City did take the lead – this time is was Jamar Loza sprinting clear of the Cromer backline before slotting the ball low to Jackson’s right.
Marshall’s side soon went in search of a second goal and Jackson made smart saves from Joshua Murphy, Olu Durojaye and Hall-Johnson to keep his side in the game.

Once again the visitors made a bright start to the second half and doubled their lead on 48 minutes when Hall-Johnson fed Joshua Murphy who took a touch before sending a driven shot past Jackson from just inside the area.
Three minutes later and the game was over as a contest when Loza scored his second and City’s third goal of the game. The lively striker was in the right place at the right time to slide the ball home from close range after Durojaye had seen his effort hit the post.
City wrapped up the scoring two minutes from time when substitute Carlton Morris saw a blistering shot repelled by Jackson only for fellow sub Cameron King to roll the ball into an empty net.
The result will see City face Wroxham in the Carrrow Road Final on Monday, May 13.
