Clubs agree extension until end of the seasonCITY striker Chris Martin has had his loan spell with npower Championship side Derby County extended until the end of the season agreed, in a deal that will be finalised next week.
Martin has enjoyed an impressive initial one-month loan spell at Pride Park that saw him score his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over promotion chasers Leicester City on Saturday.
The City Academy product has made five appearances for the Rams in total, playing in every game since arriving in Derbyshire, often alongside Derby frontman and former Wigan Athletic striker Connor Sammon.
This is Martin’s second spell out on-loan this season having previously had a three-month spell at League One side Swindon Town where he made 12 appearances and scored one goal.
Martin has also featured three times for the Canaries’ this season, twice in the Capital One Cup and once in the Premier League as a second half substitute in City’s 1-1 draw with QPR at the start of the current campaign.
