Whittaker and Johnson in starting eleven for City clash

NORWICH manager Chris Hughton made two enforced changes for the trip to Manchester City - with Steven Whittaker and Bradley Johnson replacing injured pair Robert Snodgrass and Alexander Tettey.

Snodgrass missed out on the squad after suffering concussion against Manchester United midweek, while Tettey will be out for a couple of months after limping off with ankle ligament damage against Cardiff City.

Gary Hooper continued up front, while John Ruddy, sporting his camouflaged 'Help For Heroes' gloves, started in goal - his England colleague Joe Hart was dropped for the hosts, and replaced by Costel Pantilimon.

Young winger Josh Murphy was named in a Premier League squad for the first time - taking his place on the bench - while Luciano Becchio, Javi Garrido and Wes Hoolahan also took their place among the substitutes.

NORWICH CITY: Ruddy; Martin, Turner, Bassong (c), Whittaker; Pilkington, Fer, Johnson, Olsson; Howson; Hooper. Subs: Bunn (GK), Hoolahan, Elmander, Garrido, Becchio, R Bennett, Josh Murphy.
