93-day loan to Middlesbrough for central defenderNORWICH CITY's Daniel Ayala has joined Championship side Middlesbrough on a 93-day emergency loan deal.
The central defender links up with former Carrow Road team-mates Kei Kamara and Jacob Butterfield at the Riverside Stadium.
Spaniard Ayala, 22, joined the Canaries in the summer of 2011 from Liverpool but made only ten appearances in his first season after suffering a knee injury against MK Dons.
He spent last season on-loan at Nottingham Forest, with that campaign also being disrupted by injury – he managed 14 games, with his most recent coming on New Years’ Day against Blackburn Rovers.
He featured on the Canaries’ pre-season tour to the United States but hasn't made a competitive appearance this season.
Middlesbrough are currently seeking a new manager after parting company with Tony Mowbray on Monday.
