City players in action for their countries this week

NORWICH City will be well represented this week as the second round of 2014 World Cup qualifiers involving European nations take place.

Canaries goalkeeper John Ruddy will form part of the squad for Roy Hodgson's England as they travel to Ukraine on Tuesday for their crucial Group H clash in Kiev (7.45pm BST).

Johan Elmander and Martin Olsson both impressed for Sweden in their 2-1 victory over Republic of Ireland, with the former grabbing a goal, and they will hope to carry on that form against Kazakhstan (5pm BST).

Irish pair Wes Hoolahan and the newly-capped Anthony Pilkington will be keen to put that defeat behind them against Austria (7.45pm BST), even though their hopes of qualification have effectively ended.

Scotland will want to haul themselves off the bottom of Group A with a victory in Macedonia (7.30pm BST), with Russell Martin and Steven Whittaker ready to feature, though Robert Snodgrass will miss out through suspension.

Elsewhere, Ricky van Wolfswinkel is in the Netherlands' squad as they travel to Andorra where a win would secure qualification from Group D if Romania fail to beat Turkey.

Meanwhile, Nathan Redmond could feature for England Under-21s tonight as they take on Finland (5pm BST).
