Seven changes to Canary side at Britannia Stadium

SEVEN changes were made to the starting line-up from Tuesday night's 3-2 Capital One Cup win over Watford.

This included John Ruddy in goal, with Michael Turner returning to partner Ryan Bennett in the centre of defence - and a strong midfield trio of Leroy Fer, Jonny Howson and Alex Tettey. Attacking options were provided by Anthony Pilkington and Robert Snodgrass on either flank with Ricky van Wolfswinkel recovering from a toe injury to lead the City line.

Named on a strong bench were strikers Gary Hooper and Johan Elmander as well as youngster Josh Murphy who impressed on his debut on Tuesday.

STOKE: Begovic, Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters, Walters, Nzonzi, Wilson, Adam, Arnautovic, Jones. Subs: Sorensen, Whelan, Pennant, Palacios, Assaidi, Crouch, Ireland.
