Loza and Jacob Murphy goals enough for impressive win over SpursNORWICH City's Under-21s secured a brilliant three points by beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
The Canaries scored in each half through Jamar Loza and Jacob Murphy to establish a two-goal cushion, and held on for the victory late on despite Lewis Holtby's late effort.
The result sees them get back to winning ways after two defeats on the spin since the opening day 4-1 win over Stoke City.
Ricky Martin named a selection of Under-18s players in the team with Carlton Morris, Josh Murphy, Harry Toffolo, Kyle McFadden and Cameron King all away on international duty.
Spurs included Germany international midfielder Holtby in their midfield, and Simon Dawkins, who had a spell on loan at Aston Villa last season, up front.
The home team pressed in the early stages, with Laste Dombaxe firing a free-kick wide from 25 yards and Alex McQueen providing a threat down the right-hand side.
However, after Holtby shot wide for the hosts, Norwich took the lead on 35 minutes - Murphy crossed for Loza, who made no mistake as his first-time shot flew past Jonathan Miles.
HALF-TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Norwich City
Dombaxe then had an effort ruled out for offside soon after the break, before Shaq Coulthirst just failed to meet McQueen's cross.
Norwich doubled their advantage though, and it was a role reversal as Loza was played in down the left and crossed for Murphy, who finished clinically.
Spurs tried to forge a path back into the game and Matthews tipped over a Dombaxe free-kick on 77 minutes, and they grabbed once back when Holtby slotted home with five minutes left on the clock.
However, City held firm in the end to record a superb three points on the road.
