Youngsters beaten by league leaders

NORWICH City's Under-18s lost 3-0 to Manchester City at Colney Training Centre on Saturday morning.

Brandon Barker scored twice for the visitors, his first in the opening period when he finished well past Ben Killip after being set free down the left.

A youthful Canaries eleven were well-organised against the league leaders and should have equalised through Oliver Cole just before half-time.

They were more than a match for their opponents after the break but Ben Burgess' misplaced pass allowed Barker to notch his second 13 minutes from time.

Thierry Ambrose smashed home at the far post to put the game to bed for the Citizens on 79 minutes.

FULL-TIME: Norwich City 0-3 Manchester City
