Young striker links up with League Two side until January

NORWICH City striker Carlton Morris has joined League Two outfit Oxford United on a youth loan.

The Academy product, who was a second half substitute in the first team's 5-1 friendly win over OGC Nice last week, will stay at the Kassam Stadium until January 1.

Morris, 18, signed a two-and-a-half year professional contract with the Canaries last December.

He played a pivotal role in the Club's FA Youth Cup success in 2013, notably scoring a hat-trick in the quarter-final victory over Everton.

Oxford recently appointed Michael Appleton as manager to replace Gary Waddock after finishing just outside the play-off places in League Two last season.

They start the new campaign with a home game against Burton Albion this Saturday, August 9.
