Afghanistan veteran and City fan Lewis Howlett brings out the match ballNORWICH City's Community Hero for the Bournemouth game is Corporal Lewis Howlett from Yarmouth, who has recently returned from his second tour of Afghanistan.
Lewis, who serves with the Army’s Intelligence Corps, is a lifelong City fan and season ticket holder in the lower Barclay. He'll have the honour of placing the match ball on a special plinth before kick off, ready for the referee and players to emerge from the tunnel and collect it for the game.
Lewis has served with the army for six years and was nominated to be our Community Hero by his family. He’s joined here today by his father Tim and brother Liam.
Throughout the season the Club is celebrating the good work and personal achievements of local people in their community. Whether they're in the emergency services or armed forces (past and present), carers or charity champions, super fans or the region's sporting heroes, we’ll be celebrating them before every home match.
