KYLE LAFFERTY RETURNS FOR CELTA VIGO FRIENDLY

1 August 2014

Gary Hooper and Martin Olsson also named in 19-man squad

NEIL Adams will have more attacking options for this evening’s final pre-season friendly against Celta Vigo after Kyle Lafferty and Gary Hooper were included in City’s 19-man squad for the match (7.45pm).

Lafferty, who scored in each of his first two appearances for the Club against Dereham Town and Braintree Town, has fully recovered from the leg injury that has forced him to miss the Canaries’ last three warm-up games, while Hooper returns to the fray after being left out of the OGC Nice friendly as a precaution.

Martin Olsson has also been named in the squad after missing Monday’s 5-1 victory because of personal reasons.

As expected, Alex Tettey and Jonny Howson will miss out with groin and knee injuries respectively, while Leroy Fer is due to report back to training next week.

Celta Vigo finished ninth in La Liga last season before manager Luis Enrique left to take up the vacant post at Barcelona. He was replaced by current Head Coach Eduardo Berizzo.

Tonight’s match is the first of four that the Spanish outfit are set to play in England; they travel to City’s opening day opponents Wolves on Saturday, before taking on Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday and Everton at Prenton Park on Wednesday.

Supporters wishing to buy tickets on the night are strongly advised to arrive early to avoid queues, with the Carrow Road ticket office and Jarrold Stand turnstiles 52-57 (cash buyers only) open until kick-off at 7.45pm.

Tickets for the game are priced at £15 for adults, £10 over-65s, £5 under-17s and £1 for under-12s. Please note the upper tiers at Carrow Road and the Barclays Stand Lower will not be open.

To book in advance please call 0844 826 1902, go online or visit the ticket office at Carrow Road or the official stores at Chapelfield or Castle Mall.
