Nelson's Journey volunteer to bring out match ball

NORWICH City will welcome charity volunteer Zoe Bett as their Community Hero for tomorrow’s match against Huddersfield Town (3pm).

Zoe has been nominated by Norfolk-based charity Nelson’s Journey, who describe her as a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer they are lucky to have and who is a real asset to their team.

Nelson’s Journey helps support bereaved children and young people throughout the county. Based near Norwich and founded in 1997, the charity has helped hundreds of children who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life, such as a parent or sibling.

For the last two years Zoe has shown exceptional commitment by volunteering at the charity’s residential weekends, activity days and youth clubs, as well as helping to train new volunteers and giving talks to groups about the work of Nelson’s Journey.

Ahead of kick-off Zoe will be invited to bring out the matchball to place on the special plinth ready for the referee to collect as he leads the players out of the tunnel for the game.
