Young winger moves to the County Ground until March 8

NORWICH City have agreed for Jacob Murphy to join Swindon Town on loan until March 8.

The youngster, who made his first-team debut as a late substitute against Fulham in the FA Cup Third Round last month, will officially link up with Mark Cooper’s side on Saturday.

Chris Hughton commented: “Jacob has made great strides in the past two seasons and has a bright future.

“He’s going to Swindon to continue his development and gain him valuable experience and first team games at a good level.”

Murphy, who has scored twice for Mark Robson’s Under-21s side this season, joins teammates Jamar Loza and Cameron McGeehan in making loan moves in recent weeks.

Swindon are currently four points off the play-off spots in League One and visit Port Vale this weekend.
