ROBSON ON CROMER TIE

3 February 2014

Coach eager to get Senior Cup quarter final played

UNDER-21s coach Mark Robson is looking forward to finally getting his side’s Norfolk Senior Cup quarter final against Cromer Town completed when they meet on Tuesday night (7.30pm).

The tie has been postponed four times – once because of a clash with the first-team’s FA Cup Third Round replay with Fulham, and then three times because of a waterlogged pitch at Town’s home ground of Cabbell Park.

It will be now be played at the Norfolk FA’s Football Development Centre in Bowthorpe, and Robson is keen to get through and retain hopes of defending the title the Canaries won last season.

“It’s been very frustrating because we’ve been unable to prepare ourselves in the right way. One minute it was on, and then the next minute it was off,” he told Norwich City TV.

“It looks like it’s going to be played at the Football Development Centre so we’re now looking forward to getting the game done and hopefully progressing.”

The winner of the tie will face Gorleston Town in the semi-final on March 1.

Entry prices for the match at the FDC are £5 for adults and over-65s and free entry for under-16s.
