Defender signs for MiddlesbroughCITY defender Daniel Ayala has completed a permanent move to Championship side Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has been on loan with the Teesiders since October, but has now put to pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Since linking up with Middlesbrough, Ayala has played 13 times in the Championship and is eligible for Saturday’s trip to league leaders Leicester City.
The Spaniard signed for the Canaries from Liverpool in August 2011, but only played ten times in all competitions that season after sustaining a serious knee injury in a League Cup tie against MK Dons.
He moved on a season-long loan to Nottingham Forest at the beginning of last season, making 14 appearances before injury once again curtailed his campaign.
This year he has been part of a Middlesbrough resurgence under new manager, and fellow countryman, Aitor Karanka, and they currently sit just five points off the play-off positions in the Championship.
The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Daniel and wish him well for the future.
