Carrow Road to recognise service personnel at Sunderland game

THIS Saturday's match with Sunderland sees the Club’s Annual Armed Forces Day at Carrow Road.

There will be representatives attending from locally-based RAF Marham, The Royal Anglian Regiment and The Light Dragoons, who will be joined by members of the Forces2Canaries supporter group whose members include both former and current members of the armed forces.

We will also be honoured to have 92 year-old veteran Sergeant Leonard James Bloomfield as our guest. He has served in numerous conflicts across the globe throughout his time in service including the Normandy landings during World War Two. He will be introduced to the crowd at just before kick-off.

The groups represented will be lined-up in front of the Jarrold Stand ahead of the game and at half-time do give them a warm reception as they parade around the pitch.
