City boss refreshes team again after Saints defeat

CHRIS Hughton made five changes to his Norwich City team after last week's 4-2 defeat at Southampton, which included starts for Johan Elmander and Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Team Captain Sebastien Bassong and Russell Martin retured to defence, while there was also a place in the starting eleven for Wes Hoolahan on the left-side of a four-man midfield.

Steven Whittaker, Ryan Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Anthony Pilkington and Gary Hooper dropped out of the line-up for the visit of Sunderland.

There was a welcome return to the substitutes' bench for Jonas Gutierrez, who has been absent with injury since the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City on February 1.

NORWICH CITY: Ruddy; Martin, Yobo, Bassong (c), Olsson; Snodgrass, Howson, Tettey, Hoolahan; Elmander, van Wolfswinkel. Subs: Bunn, Whittaker (GK), Johnson, Hooper, Gutierrez, Becchio, Redmond.
