Tettey speaks after volley helps City to win

ALEX Tettey admits he’ll definitely watch his wonder-goal against Sunderland back again on television.

The Norwegian midfielder scored a stunning volley to help the Canaries on their way to a 2-0 victory at Carrow Road.

“I’ll try and get a glimpse of the goal on tele, I won’t lie!” he laughed after the final whistle.

“Since I came here I’ve been looking to get a goal in the Premier League and I’m very pleased it happened today.

“I wasn’t thinking – I just struck the ball and I hit it really well and when I had the time to look up it was almost in the net already!

“I’ve scored similar to that goal when I played in Norway, but I think this one is better because it was further back on the pitch. It was a very nice goal.”

The 27-year-old was equally as enthused with the final result, however.

“It was a team performance today and that’s what we have to continue to do,” he added.

“I think it’s something to do about playing at home, because everyone has the confidence that we can win.

“I think we have to celebrate because we played well and the other teams lost, but we have to look forward and get a few more wins, and then we’ll be fine.”
