Under-18s suffer defeat at Colney

NORWICH City's Under-18s were beaten 2-0 by an accomplished Fulham side at Colney Training Centre on Saturday morning.

Aaron Redford fired the visitors ahead four minutes before half-time after a precise through ball from Emerson Hyndman.

City improved after making a double substitution at half-time, but the Cottagers got a penalty on 79 minutes that was converted by the impressive Hyndman.

Coach Neil Adams said afterwards: "We were better in the second half but Fulham are a strong team.

"We had a bit more bit about us after the break, in the first half we tended to sit back and watch a little bit.

"No complaints about the penalty, but it killed the game off just when we were looking like we might be able to do something."

NORWICH CITY: Killip; Fox (Burgess 45), Awuah, Lokko (c); Efete, Black, Randall, Scales; Hunte (Byrne-Hewitt 67); Cole (Simpson 45), Browne. Subs not used: Oxborough (GK), Heath.
