CEO praises the qualities of 'first choice' Adams
NORWICH Cityâs Board of Directors is âconvincedâ its made the right decision in appointing Neil Adams as first-team manager, says Chief Executive David McNally. His bullishness comes after admitting the Club went through a rigorous process to determine who was the right person for the role.
âWe believe Neil is the right coach, with the right hunger, commitment and knowledge to take this club forward,â he told the press at Adamsâ unveiling at Carrow Road on Friday.
âWeâve looked internationally and domestically at other candidates, weâve interviewed a number of people, and we believe Neil is the right person to be selected.
âWeâre convinced that we made the right choice â he was our first choice appointment.â
McNally doesnât believe that Adamsâ lack of managerial experience will hold him back, either.
âThere are other managers that have taken on Premier League jobs with less experience than Neil,â he explained.
âThere are certainly successful managers in the Championship and other parts of the Football League or indeed in Scotland and theyâve taken on big jobs without any managerial experience and been very successful.
âWeâre convinced heâs got the right attributes to be successful for Norwich City as first-team manager.â
