Promising defender lengthens Swindon stay

HARRY Toffolo will stay with Swindon Town until the end of the season after his loan from Norwich City was extended.

The 19-year-old has made seven appearances since moving last month, and has impressed Mark Cooper enough to persuade the Robins' boss to keep him at the Sky Bet League One outfit.

He has started their last four games and assisted Andy Williams for the opening goal in their 2-1 win at Peterborough United at the weekend.

Toffolo, who can operate in a central position or on the left-side of defence, was part of the Canaries' FA Youth Cup winning team in 2013.

Swindon have won three on the spin in the league and currently occupy second place behind Bristol City after 18 matches.

Louis Thompson, who the Canaries signed from the Wiltshire club in the summer, returned to the County Ground on loan and has also featured prominently, playing 22 times this campaign.
