Details of a defeat for the young yellows

BEN Burgess' second half header proved just a consolation for Norwich City's Under-18s as they were beaten 3-1 by Aston Villa.

The defender nodded home a Todd Cantwell corner but the hosts stayed ahead to claim three Barclays Under-18s Premier League points..

Villa raced into a three-goal lead in the opening 45, with individual errors costing Jerry Gill's side at Bodymoor Heath.

A young City team showed offensive promise throughout, and the match proving a good learning curve for both individual development and defensive discipline.
