ENGLAND U20: JACOB MURPHY REPLACES TWIN JOSH

6 October 2014

Murphy twins switch places in England U20 squad.

JOSH Murphy has been withdrawn from the England Under-20 squad ahead of the international break, with the FA electing to replace him with twin brother Jacob.

Josh has relinquished his place as a precaution after suffering a heel injury during Norwich City's 3-1 win at Blackpool.

Jacob will take his place in Aidy Boothroyd's side as they head to the Netherlands to compete in a four-nation tournament that will see them take on the hosts, Germany and Turkey over five days between October 9 and 13.

Jacob will be hoping to replicate Josh's goal-scoring exploits for England during the last international break, when he came off the bench to score a spectacular volley in England's 6-0 demolition of Romania at Telford.
