Goalkeeper determined to make Premier League returnJOHN Ruddy believes Norwich City are in perfect shape for their crucial Sky Bet Championship meeting with promotion rivals Middlesbrough at Carrow Road on Friday evening (7:45pm).
The Canaries have won five on the spin to elevate themselves into the top two, with just three matches of the regular campaign now remaining.
Such form gives the home side an edge going into the contest according to Ruddy, who told the media at Colney on Thursday afternoon: "We're on a roll and have momentum, which means confidence is high.
"The last few games have been a challenging period for us, and we've come through them with flying colours. We approach every match in the same manner; we try to get the three points.
"That's all we can do. Tomorrow is the biggest game of the season, but before that Bolton and Leeds were. There's going to be pressure but it's another game on the road to where we want to be.
"If we're going to get there then these are the ones you need to win."
Aitor Karanka's side currently sit just a point behind the Canaries, meaning victory for either team would propel them to the top of the league table with the season rapidly drawing to a close.
The importance of securing victory is therefore not lost on Ruddy, with the 28-year-old commenting: "We've got a fantastic opportunity to put pressure on the teams around us by doing our job.
"It's going to go down to the wire, but as long as we keep winning we know it's in our hands. That's what it's all about; it's cat and mouse, and you'd rather be the hunted than the hunter.
"The fans will play a part, as they do every week. The place will be rocking and that will help us on our way, so let's hope we can finish the job now.
"It will be very interesting for the neutral and I'm sure it will make for a fascinating watch."
