Young midfielder aiming to end season stronglyRAY Grant admitted to mixed emotions following Norwich City Under-21s' 1-1 draw with Everton at Carrow Road on Monday evening.
The hosts had deservedly led for much of the Barclays Under-21s Premier League contest courtesy of Carlton Morris' early strike, but were pegged back by a Tyias Browning header in the second half.
Speaking exclusively to canaries.co.uk after the game, the 19-year-old said: "It was a good point but obviously we were also disappointed having been in a winning position.
"The boys were fantastic again, and the supporters coming out is a massive bonus for us. Ultimately we’ve gone into the dressing room very disappointed.
"Hopefully we can bounce back and show how good we are. We want to consolidate our position and push on to get as many points as possible."
The result saw City's youngsters extend their impressive run at Carrow Road, having avoided defeat at the stadium in all competitions throughout the course of the current campaign.
Grant believes such form is testament to the application of the squad, commenting: "We’re always confident in ourselves but I didn’t think we’d go this far.
"It’s fantastic for the boys because they’ve worked hard in training, and Paul Wilkinson has really helped us. He’s got his ideas across and we’ve stuck to them.
"We’ve done what he’s asked us to do so we’ll try to take that into the last two games to finish as strongly as we can."
