JACOB MURPHY MOVES TO COVENTRY ON LOAN

Winger joins Sky Blues on season-long deal

JACOB Murphy has moved on a season-long loan to Sky Bet League One outfit Coventry City.

Murphy made four appearances for the Canaries in pre-season but will now link up with Tony Mowbray's side after earlier agreeing a new two-year contract at Carrow Road.

Following loan spells at Blackpool and Scunthorpe United last year, Murphy shone for Colchester United after joining them in March, playing a pivotal role as the Essex club secured League One survival on the final day of the campaign.

The 20-year-old made his City debut in an FA Cup tie against Fulham in January 2013, one of two senior appearances he has made for the Club.

Coventry finished 17th in League One in 2014-15 and opened this season up with a 2-0 home win over relegated Wigan Athletic last weekend.
