Academy graduate named as division's best player for November

NORWICH City's Jacob Murphy has been named as Sky Bet League One's Player of the Month for November.

The 20-year-old winger, currently on loan to Coventry City, struck five times in four league matches to help propel the Sky Blues into the automatic promotion positions.

So humbled to have won @SkyBetLeague1 player of the month and @PFA fans #POTM! Thanking my team mates for helping!👏🏽

Those goals came in the form of a brace at former side Colchester United, ahead of a maiden senior hat-trick against Gillingham the following weekend.

Murphy also netted in the Emirates FA Cup against Northampton, but couldn't prevent his side from being eliminated from the competition by The Cobblers.

He first joined Coventry on a season-long loan in August shortly after penning a new two-year deal with the Canaries, and has since scored seven times in 21 appearances across all competitions.

The City Academy graduate, who formed a key part of the 2013 FA Youth Cup winning squad, also recently saw his efforts during November recognised with the PFA Fans' Player of the Month Award.
