Staff at City's training centre take to bikes for local charity.

EIGHT hardy staff members at Norwich City's Colney training ground are to undertake a gruelling cycling marathon this Sunday in aid of Norfolk charity The base.

Beginning 10am on Sunday, February 8 until 10am the following morning, members of Colney's senior management team will keep wheels spinning on two exercise bikes for a full 24 hours and hope to attract donations from staff and players, as well as the wider Norwich City family.

And every donation will also automatically earn its donor entry into a prize draw for a range of very special prizes!

The base raises money for vulnerable young people in Norfolk, with its overarching aim being to offer support to every young person who asks for it, and to ensure young people reach their full potential. It does this through general and targeted programmes that deliver increased quality provision for youth and young people with special educational needs in the county. And a whole lot more - find out about The base at

Sam Gisbourne - Academy Intern
Nick Davies - Head of Sports Science

The team have set up a special Twitter account to keep fans  - and quite possibly themselves - entertained during the marathon. Follow them: @NCFC_Spin.
