U21s: CROWD IS A MASSIVE BOOST - CARLTON MORRIS

17 February 2015

Young forward looking to build on impressive home form

CARLTON Morris is looking forward to being under the Carrow Road lights once more when Norwich City Under-21s face Manchester City tomorrow night  (7pm), with tickets FREE to supporters.

The City Development Squad have received excellent support at home this season, including a record-breaking Barclays Under-21s Premier League crowd when they faced Tottenham in October.

That has helped Paul Wilkinson's side remain undefeated in all competitions at their own ground during the current campaign, and Morris told canaries.co.uk: "The fans always make sure it's a good atmosphere at any Under-21s game at Carrow Road.

"We've been in good form at home so far, so as long as we can keep that going I'm sure we'll get the result we are after. I was talking to the boys at York where I've been on loan about the Under-21s games and they said it was really impressive.

"It just shows how far this Club, and Under-21s football, has come. I'm sure the teams we face aren't used to it, so it's a massive boost for us."

The 19-year-old striker has been able to combine playing time with the Canaries Under-21s alongside first team football at York in recent weeks, thanks to the flexibility of the youth loan system.

Although Morris made all his Minstermen appearances off the bench, he still considers it a beneficial time in his career, commenting: "I'd have liked to play a bit more, but I took back a lot of experience.

"It's given me a different perspective on football as I knew it and it's something I can put on my CV that I've been involved in now. I'm only taking the positives from it really.

"I enjoyed my time there, and learned a lot."
