"I'm coming here fit and ready to go," says new City recruitANDRE Wisdom is eager to begin life as a Norwich City player after agreeing terms on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old defender recently penned a new long-term deal at Anfield, where he has made 22 appearances in all competitions to date.
Wisdom, who is in line to feature in Saturday's final pre-season friendly against Brentford, exclusively told Norwich City TV: "I’ve had a nice welcome from all of the staff and seen a few of the players already so I’m looking forward to it.
"I spoke to the manager, and he’s told me what he wants from myself and the team collectively. It’s going to be good and I can't wait to get started.
"My Premier League debut was here [at Carrow Road] which was a memorable day for me. I remember it was a good atmosphere, and I'm the sure the fans will make it the same this season.
"I've maintained a high fitness level because I've been on tour with Liverpool, so I'm coming here fit and ready to go. I'm hoping to help the team by contributing on and off the pitch."
Having spent last season on loan at City's Barclays Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion, Wisdom will now reunite with former teammates Graham Dorrans and Youssouf Mulumbu.
Their presence helped ease the prospect of a switch to Norfolk according to the youngster, who explained: "I kept in contact with them and they had a lot of good things to say about the club.
"It's always good to see someone you know when you come into a new environment or training ground. I'm sure the lads I don't know will welcome me in too.
"I can't wait to start training and get to know everyone. I'm raring to go."
