Midfielder set for West Brom return after Forest clash

GRAHAM Dorrans hopes he's done enough to earn a longer stay with Norwich City ahead of their Sky Bet Championship meeting with Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road on Saturday (3pm).

The midfielder has started each of City's last four matches, with his short-term spell from West Bromwich Albion set to come to an end following this weekend's game.

The loan window closes next Thursday, but Dorrans told the media at Colney on Friday afternoon: "The clubs are speaking at the moment so hopefully we can get it tied up.

"It's been good, and I've really enjoyed it. In the first couple of games it took me a little while to find my feet but my fitness has improved and I'm up to speed now.

"I'm just concentrating on tomorrow though, because it's the most important thing for now."

Tuesday's results saw the top two move five points clear of Alex Neil's side, with just eight games of the regular campaign now remaining.

Despite that, Dorrans believes the Canaries have enough to overturn that gap and secure automatic promotion, commenting: "The games are coming thick and fast now, and we've got another big one on Saturday.

"It's not about performances at this stage, it's about getting three points on the board. Hopefully we can keep churning the results out, although we've got a tough run coming up.

"We'll just take each game as it comes, with our ultimate aim being promotion."
