Gregg Broughton: 'We need to keep going'

NORWICH City's Development Squad travel to Fulham on Friday evening (7pm) looking to extend their impressive form in the Barclays Under-21s Premier League.

The Canaries are unbeaten in the competition since losing 3-0 at Everton in October, and have now avoided defeat in their last eight league matches.

That run includes three successive victories over Manchester City, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, with Paul Wilkinson's side currently lying sixth in the domestic standings after 15 games.

Ahead of the contest, Academy Manager Gregg Broughton told "I went to the game when we played them in the Under-21s cup earlier this season, and thought we counter-attacked very well.

"They had a very, very strong team with players who had played in either the Premier League or Championship. We need to have that level of performance again, and have spoken to the players about the need to keep going.

"We probably need two more wins to guarantee a spot in the league next season, and these are the crucial games. Our form has been fantastic, so we are in control of our own destiny."
