The latest squad news from Colney

CITY will have Nathan Redmond available for selection this weekend after the winger sat out the 1-0 win over Swansea City a fortnight ago.

Redmond had a thigh complaint that forced his absence against the Welsh club, and also led to him withdrawing from duty for England's Under-21s.

Alex Neil revealed on Friday, however, that his team's top goalscorer has been back in full training this week.

"It was more precautionary with Nathan. He had a tight thigh, which is unusual because he's one of those lads who trains every day," Neil told Norwich City TV.

"He wasn't fully confident before Swansea, and with Matt (Jarvis) being out too, it was the right decision to take Nathan out and making sure we didn't risk him.

"He's been joining in training this week, so he's fully fit."

Matt Jarvis remains sidelined with the knee injury he picked up against Manchester City last month, but his manager says he's on course with his recovery.

"We know exactly where we stand with Matt, it's just about recovery time for him now. He's making good progress," he added.

Captain Russell Martin returns from suspension to come in contention to play at Stamford Bridge, and Neil is also hopeful that the eight players City had away on international duty during the recent break will be ready to go again for their club.

"Most of them are fine. It's like anything else, once they've had games so close to the next one, it's just about monitoring where they are and hoping that they're going to make it," he explained.
