The latest squad news from Colney

MATT Jarvis is facing a spell on the sidelines with the knee injury he suffered against Manchester City last weekend.

The winger was withdrawn at half-time at the Etihad Stadium and speaking at Friday's press conference, Alex Neil confirmed that the loanee is set for a lay-off.

"Matt will be missing for a wee while. He's opened his knee up in a block tackle with Yaya Toure, who isn't the type of player you want to go in a block tackle with!" City's boss told Norwich City TV.

"It's disappointing because he was doing fantastically well for us. He gave us a different dimension to our game, we've got players to cope with that but he will be missed. It's going to be weeks more than months."

There was some positive news regarding Andre Wisdom (knee), however, who is available for selection earlier than expected.

"Andre's fine, he's trained the whole week. The injury wasn't as bad as we first feared - he's managed to make a quick recovery," said Neil.

Dieumerci Mbokani is also back in training after recovering from illness, but his manager added: "The only thing I will say is that he's done just one session.

"He's not done a full week this week, but he's fully recovered from what he had so he is available."

Captain Russell Martin will be absent against the Welsh outfit as he serves his one-match suspension for getting sent-off last Saturday.
