Advantage Hungary in Euro play-offs

NORWICH City's Alex Tettey played 90 minutes for Norway as they suffered a major set-back in their bid to qualify for Euro 2016 on Thursday night.

Per Mathias-Hogmo's men went down 1-0 to Hungary in their first-leg play-off, with Laszlo Kleinheisler's solitary strike settling the contest in Oslo.

The result leaves Norway with work to do to reach next summer's tournament ahead of their return leg in Hungary on Sunday, November 15 (7:45pm).

Earlier in the day, Dieumerci Mbokani and captain Youssouf Mulumbu both started for DR Congo in the African section of 2018 World Cup Qualifying away to Burundi.

The visitors went in front early on through Yannick Bolasie, only for a brace from Cedric Amissi to leave Burundi on the verge of a shock win going into the closing stages.

However, a dramatic late double from Ndombe Mubele secured a vital 3-2 first-leg victory for The Leopards in sodden conditions.

The two sides will meet again in DR Congo for the second leg on Sunday, November 15 (2:30pm).
