LEWIS GRABBAN: IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK

29 November 2015

Striker nets equaliser against the Gunners

NORWICH City forward Lewis Grabban reflected on a 'good day' after netting in his side's 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw with ArsenalĀ at Carrow Road on Sunday.

With Mesut Ozil having put the visitors in front on the half-hour mark, Grabban levelled shortly before half-time when he latched onto Robbie Brady's excellent pass and slid the ball under Petr Cech.

The strike represented an ideal response to being handed a first league start since the opening day, and after the game Grabban told Norwich City TV: "Getting the point was the most important thing for us.

"We need to keep collecting points to move up the table and secure our place in this league. It's a good day for us, and I'm happy to score on my first game back.

"The manager has been fine so I've just been working hard to get back into the team. Hopefully I can now move forward and the team can look forward to the next game.

"Every players wants to stay the team and scoring gives me a bigger chance to do that."

Despite an impressive result against Arsene Wenger's title-chasers, Grabban feels the Canaries could have taken even more from the contest.

"We had some good chances so maybe could have got the three points," he explained.

"Having said that, a point against Arsenal is a good result for us. We'll look to build on this now and do well for the rest of the season.

"The fans are here to support the team, whoever is in the XI. It's our job as a group now to go to Watford and perform against them."
