The latest squad news from Colney

YOUSSOUF Mulumbu made his return to competitive action in midweek, playing an hour for the Canaries' Development Squad as they went down 2-1 to Leicester City on Tuesday.

The DR Congo midfielder is yet to make his senior Club debut after joining from West Brom in the summer, having broken his metatarsal in the final game of pre-season against Brentford at the start of August.

Reflecting on Mulumbu's potential involvement against his former side, City boss Alex Neil revealed that the game is likely to come too soon for the 28-year-old.

"I think he's still got a bit of catching up to do, he's still a bit rusty in terms of game time. It's good that he came through the game with no reaction though," he said on Friday.

"It's a big game on Saturday so to take that chance would probably be a bit unfair on him."

Gary Hooper and Lewis Grabban (both ankle) each missed out on the matchday squad at Newcastle last Sunday but have another week of training under their belts.

"There's nothing new injury-wise at the moment, the boys have been fine," added Neil when speaking to Norwich City TV.
