Sweden secure Euro 2016 play-off place
NORWICH City's Martin Olsson played 90 minutes for Sweden as they secured an important 2-0 win away to Liechtenstein on Friday evening.Victory ensures the Scandinavian outfit can still qualify automatically for the Euro 2016 Finals, although they require three points from their Group G meeting with winless Moldova on Monday to have a chance of progressing in such manner.
They are also reliant on favours from elsewhere to secure a top-two spot following Russia's win over Moldova, but are buoyed by having now secured at least a play-off place after challengers Montenegro lost to group winners Austria.
Elsewhere, Louis Thompson's Wales Under-21s continued their Euro 2017 qualifying campaign with a 0-0 draw in Denmark.
The result saw Geraint Williams' side extend their unbeaten run to three games, although they fell to third place in Group D following wins for Bulgaria and Romania.
