Canaries' official charity benefits from fan-led event

NORWICH City would like to thank the Norwich City Fans Social Club for hosting an extremely successful charity quiz night in the Norfolk Lounge of Carrow Road on Wednesday evening.

Former Canaries winger Darren Eadie acted as celebrity quizmaster for the event, as 26 teams battled it out to be crowned the inaugural NCFSC quiz champions!

Among those competing were Kyle Lafferty and Ryan Bennett, who lined up alongside Under-21s representatives Cameron Norman, Conor McGrandles and Reece Hall-Johnson in a team captained by Player Liaison Officer Phil Lythgoe.

A keenly-contested affair culminated in a narrow home victory for a Carrow Road team led by Chief Executive David McNally, despite strong challenges from 'Forces2Canaries' and 'Gary Penrice, Rice, Baby'.

The senior players then helped with the winners presentation and awarding of raffle prizes, with proceeds from the event going towards NCFSC's nominated charity, the Community Sports Foundation.

NCFSC also exclusively revealed information relating to their maiden Fans’ Forum in December, which will feature panelists Alex Neil, Frankie McAvoy and Gary Holt.

Further details on the event will be released on NCFSC's website in due course, in addition to here on
