Defender makes first league start of the seasonNORWICH City's Ryan Bennett reflected on a 'tough day' after his side were beaten 1-0 by West Bromwich Albion in the Barclays Premier League at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Salomon Rondon's header early in the second half settled the contest, after the home side had enjoyed the better of the opening 45 minutes.
Speaking to Norwich City TV following the match, Bennett said: "It's difficult to take for everyone, from people in the stands to the players.
"At times we dominated the game with the ball and it's unfortunate we conceded quite easily at the start of the second half. That gave them the advantage, which we'd talked about before the game.
"They sat back having nicked one against us. We still had enough of the ball to create some chances but it didn't happen for us, and now we have to move on as a group."
Bennett's inclusion from the start represented his first involvement in a league game this term, having previously featured in the Capital One Cup outings against Rotherham United and Albion.
"Hopefully I can do well and stay in the team," added the former Peterborough United defender.
"When you're not in the side you've got to keep working. That's what I've done and I'm looking to reap the rewards from that now.
"I've been fortunate to come back into the team. The result hasn't gone the way I would have liked but we've just got to carry on.
"We know how difficult this league is and we've got to stick to our beliefs."
