Tettey's Norway boost Euro hopes

NORWICH City's Alex Tettey helped Norway to a vital 2-0 victory over Croatia in Euro 2016 qualifying on Sunday as the Scandinavian outfit moved to the top of Group H.

The midfielder played the full match as Jo Inge Berget's brace saw Per-Mathias Høgmo's side leapfrog their opponents in the standings.

Having lost the reverse leg 5-1 in Zagreb in March, Norway responded with an assured display which leaves them within touching distance of next year's Finals.

Meanwhile, Sebastien Bassong was an unused substitute during Cameroon's 1-0 win in the Gambia as they continued their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualification campaign.

The Indomitable Lions top Group M, having now won both of their matches played so far.
