Academy graduate extends Carrow Road stay

HARRY Toffolo has penned a new two-year deal at Norwich City, extending his Carrow Road stay until at least the summer of 2017.

The defender, who formed part of the side which won the FA Youth Cup in 2013, made his senior debut for the Canaries last month in the 2-1 Capital One Cup victory over Rotherham United.

He made 28 league appearances while on loan at Swindon Town last year, helping Mark Cooper's side to reach the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final before losing out to Preston North End.

The Academy graduate featured regularly this pre-season and was included in the squad for the Club's German-Austrian training camp ahead of the Premier League campaign.

Toffolo, an England youth international up to Under-20s level, said: "It's really good to have put-to-paper with Norwich, it shows that the club is backing me.

"After a strong year with Swindon last season and a pre-season with the first-team here, it proves that if you work hard you get given opportunities.

"Norwich is my club. I joined at a young age, moving away from home but this is my home now. My long-term goal is to do the best that I can at Norwich City."
